Quick Search:

I would like to know the disadvantages of no-till farming.

Your question is not an easy one to answer because so many factors
are involved. Just after I received your message I found an article
that was printed in the Farm Journal in the February 1998 issue on
"The Trouble With No-Till Corn". I would be glad to send a copy of
the article to you if you would send me your address. As you
probably know no-till is very effective in reducing the soil erosion
potential and costs are generally less compared to other
conservation or conventional tillage systems. The primary potential
disadvantage is in maintaining crop yield. Let me know if you would
like a copy of the article mentioned above.
